Notes
Type evidence: It has an Ancey type label from the type locality, which is confirmed on Geret’s sales list. Ancey, 1885 wrote ‘La coquille que j'ai sous les yeux…’ which, roughly translated, means ‘The shell I have before me…’ We deem this sufficient to indicate a unique type and therefore give the NMW specimen holotype status. Páll-Gergely & Hunyadi, 2013: The authors maintain laminifera as the synonym of jugatoria, but insist that present knowledge is not enough to sort out the jugatoria-laminifera problem. The NMW holotype is the only specimen from the type locality and so the internal lamellae cannot be examined and the type locality of laminifera is very far from that of jugatoria. The jugatoria type is also flatter than the laminifera types.
