The figured specimen was previously listed as a syntype on this website and by Oliver et al. (2017). However, this status was queried by I. F. Smith (pers. comm. to website authors, February 2019) on noting that the figured shell does not fit Montagu's original description and figure for Voluta bidentata. It belongs instead to Myosotella myosotis (Draparnaud, 1801). It seems likely that the shells, detached from the card, are not in fact Montagu's types in this instance so the status has been changed to "non-type material". Original reference: Montagu G 1808.
