Type Locality: Ancey, 1892: Algerien, bei Djurdjura. Ancey, 1893: Beni Sedka Chenacha, sur les rochers escarpés qui dominent le village d’Agouni Fourrou, dans le Djurdjura (Kabylie), et sur ceux des environs d’Aït Agad, à une heure de marche du col de Thabbourth naït Regan, patrie du B. euryomphalus. [Algeria]

Possible Syntypes:- NMW.1955.158.24160 5 spec. BMNH.1937.12.30.12853-55 3 spec. Type evidence: This NMW lot has an Ancey label bearing the type locality, but it does not state it is a type. The BMNH lot only has Geret and Connolly labels bearing the type locality; Geret’s sales list confirms Connolly received a lot of three specimens from Ancey’s collection.
