Notes
Possible Syntypes:- RBINS.10591 1 spec. (e) Remarks: This name is not listed in Geret (1909). Type evidence: The main NMW label has the writing of two people. One is definitely Dautzenberg (the ink writing and the addition of the ‘f. minor’ in pencil) and the other pencil writing is probably Geret’s. Tomlin stated the lot is ex Ancey and the Geret sales list confirms Tomlin received a specimen. There is another lot at RBINS which has an Ancey and Dautzenberg label. It is quite apparent, from both the lots, that they were originally identified as trigonochilus and later given the variety name. They both state they are collected from Samarkand (by Staudinger) which is much more specific than the type locality in the paper and also the same as that for the species.
