Notes
MATERIAL AT RAMM NOT TRACED. Jeffreys, 1830, p. 368 regarded Voluta hyalina to be a junior synonym of Myosotella denticulata but later (1867, p. 359) suggested it was the young of Columbella lactea a West Indian shell. The taxon is absent from WoRMS. The shell examined here is neither of these but is Minivoliva cf. perplexa Olsson, 1956 another common West Indian shell. This suggests that this shell is a replacement and should not be considered as a type specimen. This taxon was not listed in the RAMM collection.
