Collecting details:
[Additional notes from lists held by LIVCM.] Cyp Thomasi Crosse Lifu [in pencil on box and inside a detailed paper label] Schilder names this cernica v. tomlini = thomasi auct non Crosse. If he judges by fig only I should say he could not be sure about it, one of our specimens is from Thomas Coll. [and on reverse in different hand] Certainly close to spurca v acicularis. All three labels are in differerent hands. (Note by Ian Wallace 14.9.2004). It would seem to have a good chance of being a type as it comes from the collector who had the species named after him. The description says it was "part of the rich collection of M. B. Thomas"; it gives no indication of number of specimens. (Note by Ian Wallace, 14.9.2004). Badcock has extensively annotated the labels in biro. (Note by Ian Wallace, 14.9.2004).
