Notes
Spence states that the type is in his collection and that cotypes are in the NHM-UK and Manchester Museum. It is known that Spence gave his collection to Manchester Museum after his wife's death and when the supply of African material dried up during the war (Jackson, 1946. J. Conch. 22: 206). This lot is very clearly labelled as the figured type by Spence and is therefore the holotype. Other type material listed in Spence, 1927 and McGhie, 2008: 1 paratype EE.3655 ? paratypes NHM-UK Original genus corrected to Brachypodella. (BR, 2021)
