Coan & Kabat, 2012 state: NHMUK 20120183, three syntypes (1 paired valves, and two unmatched valves, one labelled 'measured syntype'; Leeds Museum 1957.173.175, two syntypes (two unmatched valves). Leeds material does not have a Hanley label but there is a modern label (unidentified) in with the lot stating that this could be a Hanley type. Hanley's handwritten catalogue lists the species name but there is no reference to a 'type'.
