Notes
Coan & Kabat, 2012 state: NHMUK 1976133, two syntypes (incl. figured syntype [see Higo et al. 2001]); Leeds Museum 1957.173.24642, one syntype. Leeds material does not have a Hanley label but appears in Hanley's handwritten catalogue and there is evidence that a Hanley label was once attached to the shell. The number 106 is written on the shell, which is the number it appears under in the catalogue. There is no mention of type in the catalogue, just the initials LCM. There are a number of modern labels with the specimen. S. Whybrow's states: = Macalia bruguieri (Hly) Type species of genus ?Could be a syntype (dated 9/1979). Kabat label with specimen lists the NHM syntype lot details.
