Notes
Haresewych et al., 2007 state that Maynard did not designate a specific specimen as the type in his paper and that the description is therefore based on 1963 syntypes. They go on to designate a lectotype lot (MCZ_358073), stating that Maynard's remaining 1962 specimens including MCZ 76237, MCZ 76238, USNM 419964 and now the Leeds specimens are paralectotypes. For comments relating to the naming of this species - see Haresewych et al., 2007 where it is discussed in detail. Leeds specimen has a Crowley label and Tomlin label stating paratype. It is from the general type locality although it is slightly different to the precise locality listed in Maynard's original description. The specimen is ex. Liverpool, where we know a lot of Maynard's material went.
