Described from "(Coll. Crosse et Angas) so other material (including figured syntype) may be in MNHN, Paris. F. R. Woodward label (1979-1980) says "specimen marked T selected as lectotype", but the designation was not published. A reference to "Helix dampieri Angas" on the bag is probably erroneous.
