Twelve specimens were seen by Tomlin when reviewing the types in 1940, this is reiterated in McMillan 1985, who states that there are 12 syntypes. Cernohorsky, 1984 chose one specimen from this group and designated it the lectotype "specimen measuring length 24.6 mm, width 13.4 mm". One of the specimens matches these measurements and the figure, the others are paralectotypes.
