Notes
Two specimens are separated into 2 different gel capsules: one has a 'Type' label, was imaged by Kaicher 1987 and separated by Wallace. But this specimen is eroded. The other capsule is without a label. Any 3 of the specimens is the right size for Marrat's imaged specimen (Thesaurus Conchyliorum) but as it is unclear they are all syntypes. Marrat's handwritten label 'O. compta 200 Marrat Hab(?)' Marrat's handwritten label 'Oliva compta Marrat California'. Tomlin's handwritten label 'Type lot of compta M. the actual type in blue' Although it is unclear what this means. Ford 1953 Refers to one holotype and 6 paratypes.
