“I am indebted for a drawing of this unique shell, which I have seen, to the kidness of J. Gray, Esq., of Glasgow, who has had it in his collection for some years” (Sowerby, 1860). J. Gray is an obvious error for T. Gray (Dance & Woodward, 1986)
